Hey guys!
Thanks for the great review of YouMail. I'm glad you all loved our free service.
We're always adding new features like the groups for specific contacts.
One other thing i thought you might find intersting is that another option for notification is an email if you have a smartphone. You can also add another number to your main account so two phones can go to to one voicemail. We've recently added Smart Caller ID which gives you the caller ID of unknown callers when they leave a message. that way you'll know who that ignored caller was.
You guys have a great site and fun and informative podcasts. love the banter, and definitely NOT your typical geeks.

Marc
YouMail

PS:please check out our new facebook app called ShoutOut so you can send fun audio shououts to your friends.

snkmchnb: We'll definitely give Arch a run to see how it stacks up against what we would like to see in a distribution. Hopefully we'll have a chance to test other distros as well. Thanks for listening!

Hey Guys!

Thanks for the plug! I'm always happy to hear comments and suggestions for people using the site. The tweet post from computer uploads has been fixed and we are working on the other suggestions we've received so far. Hopefully MMS will be up soon and then we can really start to expand our user base!

Another good episode. I would have to say that I haven't used Ubuntu for quite some time as I've felt that it was becoming "bloat-ware." I'd be interested to see what your opinions are of Arch Linux if you do decide to give it a try. I've been running it since July on by system and I absolutely love it. Very minimal install, quite snappy, and has just about all the software I've needed in the repos.

We've been big fans of Ubuntu for quite a while, but the direction they are moving with the distribution is a little disconcerting. I personally hope that this trend will not continue and that Ubuntu will find a good medium position that will be easy to use for non-technical users yet still provide more choices for the power user. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Once again, a great podcast. I appreciate the heads up on Gutsy getting "too easy" and somewhat bloated.
