Autonomous Cars
The opening keynote for LinuxWorld Expo 2008 was given by Sebastian Thrun of Stanford Google and titled “Making Cars Drive Themselves”. In the keynote he detailed how the project to build a car that could navigate and make decisions based on traffic, terrain, and traffic rules as well as be completely independent and need no human interaction to reach it’s destination.
Junior was on display on the expo floor and we snagged some pictures:
